Harry Kane showcases seasonal footy joy in fresh Prime Video promotion
Harry Kane stars in a new Prime promotion, which shows him battling the festive blues, and being cheered up by Premier League fixtures on Prime.
Spearheaded by Dark Horses and directed by Hunky Dory Films’ Tom Marshall, the film shows the Bayern Munich star carrying out Christmas activities such as plying charades with England teammate James Maddison, festive baking but all the while failing to get in to the spirit.
Realising its just not Christmas without football, Kane settles in to watch the Boxing Day fixtures, and instantly feels more festive.
In his first proper break from work for Christmas, with the Bundesliga in which Kane currently plays having time off following the festive season as opposed to the Premier League which typically hosts a wide range of games around the season – with Boxing Day a traditional day for watching sports.
It comes ahead of major games set for Boxing Day this year, all to be screened on Prime, with standout fixtures including Manchester United vs Aston Villa, Brighton vs Spurs, and a London derby with Arsenal set to take on West Ham.
Despite Amazon Prime saying it had plans for more adverts, earlier this year in a YouGov survey Amazon Prime viewers said they felt bombarded by adverts.
However, with football the most watched television sport in the UK and the world, it’s no surprise that advertisers fight to be attached to the lucrative viewing figures, as broadcasters scramble for the rights to Premier League games.
